Isabelle Barany graduated with an MFA in fiction from the University of New Orleans in 2020, where she was an Associate Fiction Editor for Bayou Magazine. Her fiction appears in swamp pink (formerly Crazyhorse) and is forthcoming in Passages North. She was a finalist for the 2025 New Letters Robert Day Award for Fiction and for Miami Book Fair's 2021 Emerging Writer Fellowships program.
